Main Computer or Transmission Module?
I have a 2007 LX470. Second owner. All maintained by the dealer since new ~150,000 miles currently. Last year when driving forward at 45 MPH, it was as if someone put the car in reverse: a loud bang and then all the dash lights came on. I pulled over, motor was still running fine. Checked everything visually then proceeded. Vehicle drove fine for another five miles and this phenomena occurred again. Dealer went through the car. No data on the computer but it repeated this strange phenomena again for them while driving. They replaced the main computer. Vehicle ran fine for a few months then this happened again but less of a transmission going into reverse and more of the "limp home" mode. If you turned off the car and re-started, it would run fine for a few more miles. Dealer took back the car and drove it over a month long period of time with their portable computer hooked up. The problem occurred again but nothing is registering on their portable computer. Ideas? Car has not been flooded or had any rodent infestations.

Man no replies to this thread?.. So what happened?
Really sad that they would change your computer on a whim. Must have been a pretty penny.. How much was that btw?
The more I hear these dealer stories the more I fear them..
