Change display from Fahrenheit to Centigrade?
Hi,
I have just bought a 2006 LX470 and enjoying my new purchase. It is a US model, and has built in Navigation and a Mark Levinson sound system. The navigation doesn't work as the disk suffered heat damage (I am in the Middle East).
I would like the outside temperature and Aircon displays to use Centigrade if possible. I have searched the manuals, and I can't find how to change it, if it is possible - help!
Thanks, NS

I've been to Jeddah.
You can change it, but it takes the TechStream software and the cable that goes from USB to OBDCII. A dealer could do that for you, or you can buy the software and cable on eBay, shipped out of China, for like U$15. A laptop running XP or maybe a XP virtual machine in a later OS is needed.

I only have Techstream loaded up on my "talk to the cars" XP laptop in my shop. And you'll only see the option when you are connected to a car. I don't remember exactly where it was, but it was under one of the "change settings" things. With the version I have anyway, there's a button to change settings, and it opens a menu of all kinds of changes. One of them was metric or not metric for the display.

Well, I booted up the laptop and plugged it into the LX. Looks like that setting is only available in the LS400, not the LX470. Sorry.
On a side note, the auto-detect ID'ed it as a Land Cruiser, and then wouldn't let me let into any of the change options. Actually, the whole data thing was kinda sparse. I went back and forced it to ID it as the LX470 and everything came up. Telescoping steering column settings, etc.
