Default Shop for CV Boots and Right front bearing repack in Seattle

Anyone with a recommendation on a shop for a front right wheel bearing repack and replacement of front CV boots - I am in Seattle and generally take the car to Lexus but wanted to see if there were any other recommendations for other shops in the area that might do a good job.

I have a 2000 LX with 142k miles on it - Dealer is about $1100 for this work.

Sorry, no knowledge here of a good shop around you. If you've got a Toyota dealer in the area with a decent service rep, they can also do the work as LX is identical to Land Cruiser as to front wheel bearings and CV's. The spindle bearing on each side also needs lubrication when you're doing the wheel bearings...CV output shaft rides in a needle bearing.

Thanks for the Toyota thought...Anyone with any other recommendations in the Seattle area?

The well may be a bit dry here...I'd ask the question on ih8mud.com on the 100-series forum. Good folks but most can be "direct". It's pretty much the web nexus of all things LC and LX.

Not sure where exactly you are in Seatlle, but there is a premier Land Cruiser shop, Cruiser Brothers, LLC, in Freeland, WA. They are top-notch and would definitly look at your LX. Look them up on the web or on Facebook.
