How difficult is it to replace the cooling fan bracket on a 2001 LX470? My mechanic is telling $600. That seems a bit steep. I found the part but don't have the car where I can look at it at the moment. It doesn't seem to difficult......?

Depends on what exactly you are talking about. If they are talking about the fan clutch, that is an easy part to swap out---I did it on my 2000 last fall. From there the fan is mounted to the water pump. The water pump is not so easy.
