Default LX470 - suggested tire sizes

I have a 2003 LX 470 and have always used 275 60R18 tires. I am finding them to be more difficult to locate lately and wondered if anyone ran a different size on their LX without any modifications? I have found 275 65R18 to be more readily available and cheaper. Do you think they'd be fine?

I primarily run my LX on regular roads with minimal snow (VA), but do run it off road in the sand a few times a year.

I appreciate your suggestions.....thanks

I agree with garyrama, 285/60/18r is a good alternative. No difference in ride quality, i also have an 03 lx470 & had the same problem u had. Finding the right size tire for my truck.

Look at Michelin LTX M/S2 in 265/70/18. They are 32.6" compared to OEM size which are between 30-31", these are great tires great wear great looks and weigh within a lb of the OEM tires, plus cheap compared with the other sizes. Tire weight is important for handling and fuel economy. I've had these tires on for 30k miles they still look new, driven cross country and in snow, rain and dry. If you want to go bigger 275/70/18's are 33.2" and in most AT sizes will weigh about 15 lbs per tire more. That addl weight will make a difference in handling and MPG. It will also over time impact service life of suspension components.
