I JUST BOUGHT A 2005 LEXUS LX470, AND I WANT TO KNOW IF I CAN PLAY DVD ON MY NAVIGATION, I HAVE SEEN A MODULE ON EBAY CALLED ( Lexus LX LX470 NAV Video Converter DVD) AND I WAS WONDERING IF THIS WILL WORK.

do you have ML? not sure if its the same for the LX but i know on the GS you need to have ML in order to have the dvd option.

Yes i do have ml...

1. Since your LX has the ML Sound System with the DVD/CD player, you can play DVD's and watch on your Navi Screen. However, you can only watch them in PARK with your Emergency Brake on. If you have a video ipod, and have purchased the correct ipod adapter cable, in the same manor you can play video or pics from your ipod.

2. If you want to bypass the PARK and EMERGENCY brake feature, you will have to purchase a separate bypass unit. The one from www.prestigioussociety.com/ is the only one i found that gave me all the functions that i wanted. And it works beautifully.

yes the ps kit is nice. a little pricey but imo well worth the money and no need to cut wires behind the unit.
