I have a 2002 LX470 and would like to turn off the "beep" sound when I lock/unlock the doors using the remote. Is this possible?

Physically, the piezo buzzer is in the driver's side fender. I think it can be accessed by removing the fender liner.

Yeah, I've been wanting to at least turn my "chirp" down some. It's so much louder than the one my GS. I'd rather just have the parking lights flash with no sound at all. I'll check out the owner's manual tonight.

I think the sound is perfect. Its very good when trying to find the LX in a crowded parking lot
