Thumbs up Borla Cat-back Exhaust

Hey guys I am seriously considering ordering the Borla exhaust system for my LX. I like the tough sound of it. Have anyone installed it on their LXs?

I am reffering to http://www.borla.com/applications/lo..._System/14814/

You know you would be replacing an excellent stock system for no good reason, right?

We have it on our LX and it sounds and performs great, Since its not my daily driver I really can’t attest to how much better performance it gave, but the sound is very nice and smooth all through the power band.

I wouldn't be able to give you an exact number, but lets put it this way, Under normal driving conditions is is 15% louder than stock and under WOT I would say 25%. It lets you know that there is in fact a healthy V8 under the hood

My father and one of his friends installed it. I don't think it should cost you more than 150 to put it on.

There is also a very long waitlist on it as it is only special order. Mine was installed for $80. The tip BARELY fits inside the tow hitch.

Why don't you just fit a custom catback exhaust using a 50 series Flowmaster muffler. My friends 2000 LandCruiser has this similar setup with dual exhaust. The sucker sounds hot!

If you get a free-er flowing exhaust, it makes for a better exhaust flow wich makes the truck run leaner. If you open up the intake while your at it, you should notice a bit of a tug in the pants with both a free flowing exhaust and an intake system. I felt a big tug in my pants when I test drove my cousins Tundra after he put on his exhaust and intake. I test drove it 2 days before so I should know.

So, did you order it? If so, show us some pics with it installed when you get around to it. Make us jealous.
