Default LX470 Modifications

Let's try to consolidate what we've done. Feel free to point out what I've missed and I'll add it.

Stripping the paint & revealing your chrome grill.

Buying and installing HIDs.

Playing DVDs while in motion.

Tapping factory video for monitors.

Unresolved:
Ongoing spoiler discussion.
Ongoing wheel discussion

More to come, as we figure things out.

Jim, I didn't mention those not to give short shrift to off roading, but because I classify those as addon or replacement purchases, not "mods" per se. What do you think?

I've got to ask the same question; why bother, unless you were tapping that harness for puddle lights or something else.

puddle lights tapped into the daytime running lights? what? There is a plug underneath by the running boards that is for puddle lights...never tested the circuit to confirm, but thats what it looks like its for.

And why would they do that? because they thought the daytime running lights were ugly i guess...i dont know i didnt do it

Wait I know this may be an old thread and may sound dumb but is there a way to power the lows, highs, and fogs at the same time ?

Why don't you just buy some off-road lights?

LOL

I guess me and Jim will have to go make a Lexus Off-Road forum, then!

At least we have IH8mud.com!

I guess no one puts there LX in 4LO, or takes it into the dust!

Mod Short for "modifications." ; Usually applied to aftermarket work on cars.
I just stopped by Autozone, I have a few more mods to add to my car tonight.

I think are off-road mods are real mods.

You guys are just talking about tweaks, except for the HIDS.

Jims ARB bumper goes more with the lines of the LX. My bullbar is bit stronger but both bumpers are the same.

I think I'm the only LX on this forum with a Snorkel!

Then BF GoodWrench A/T tires.

I will be getting a slee rear bumper soon + tire carrier!

I just can't see why you would disclude off-road mods. The car is a Lexus but has a heart and soul of a Land Cruiser!

lol
