you have the mark lev system? I had the Nakamichi system and if my memory serves me correct i had 5-1/2 inch speakers in the doors and a 6.5" subwoofer in the back.

i open up the subwoofer for my lx it's a 6" dia.

Also can you guys please let me know the power rating of the front speakers? I need to get a pair. The best buy guys told me that does not matter. Really?

my nak system said something like 20w at 8ohms i think on the back of the speakers...i could be wrong tho. The mark and nak speakers are different sizes i think no?

does anyone know if the 6.5s in the door of the mark lev.are built into some sort of enclosure or have separate amps/x-overs or will any 6.5in.midrange/midbass 4ohm spkr w/decent power handling work? i have posted various questions about this 4 or 5 times this week and got NO responses.the circuit city guys said i had to go back w/factory b/c they couldn't order anything that would work????(said something about it being an atypical spkr)

well i got the new speaker put in and it sounds fine.it didn't really fit perfectly but w/some 'customizing' i made it work.saved me a lot of money.toyota wanted >$225 ea.for the speakers and the crystals i bought on ebay for $75/pr sound much better than the crappy mark levinson(yea right)speaker i took out-it did take some work and now i need to replace the passenger door speaker but i think i'll wait a while
