Yes thanks, that sticker under the hood states if the vehicle conforms to US EPA approved emissions and possibly California regulations. I'm asking if all Lexus LX470 have both US and California EPA emissions built in the car. This saves me the worry if I buy a vehicle from out of state. If Lexus/Toyota built all the engines the same to pass the more stringent California emissions then I have no worries. I would think from a manufacturing point of view it would be easier to make all the same by this time. At one point in time they had 2 assemblies lines, US EPA emissions and California's.

Your LX was made on a dedicated assembly line in Japan with 100% Japanese content including the engine...I have no idea if the 100 series engines were built with CA emissions laws in mind or not.
5.7 engines for the Tundra and Sequoia are built in the U.S., not Japan. Where did you get the info that there were 2 assembly lines for the 100 series?

Thanks hankinid
My main point was, I want to buy one with 50 state emissions built in to the engine. If a 49 state emission vehicle doesn't pass California emissions then there is a fine at the least and possibly getting it up to California standards. Now, I don't know how much of this is different for everyone but my take is get one with 50 state engine and I should have a fighting chance to pass and not pay fines or additional work.
As far as the assembly line I got that from another forum and it seems that different components built to meet California emissions would be easier to assemble in the engine assembly line.
Oh I think this link sort of has the same question. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lx-...certified.html.
