Default New Build! 1999 LX470

So I started a new build this week. We want a beach/mountain vehicle. After a month long search. We settled on a 1999 LX470 with 189,00 in good shape. It arrived This Wednesday June 21st 2017. That day I got the engine flushed and a full synthetic oil change. Filled up with gas a put in a full system fuel cleaner. I also had all the windows tinted. Saturday we had off road wheels and BFG All Terrain K02 tires installed. 275/55R20s. I also ordered the ARB awning 1250 - 814301. I am currently looking for a brush-guard, bull-bar or full bumper with winch. I haven't decided which yet. North Carolina Has wonderful 4x4 beaches and the mountains. We want to get off the beaten path and really see more of both. And even though we have the 2017 LX570. We are not willing to damage it. Plus I wanted a project to work on. here are pictures so far. Any suggestions, great deals or comments are welcome. 1999 LX470 as purchased.
New Off Road Rim
Getting rims and tires installed
Just pulled out of the shop. AHC in High mode.

Here she is so far with new wheels and tint.

I'm interested in how the lights turn out.
I bought another 470 for spare parts but I'm thinking of fixing it up and selling it.

New OEM Floor Mat came in today and the ARB Awning. I picked up a small Roof rack locally to get the Awning installed.I may change it out later. Here is how she looks so far. Almost ready for the beach!

LX470s still look so good after all this time, especially this one.

The more conservative the styling, the longer it stays looking good. Series 100's have that advantage.

OT, imo the 200 LX's not so much.

I must Agree. I have hardly driven my 2017 LX since I got the 1999 LX. I love the tech in the 2017 but the series 100s just are classic greatness

Love the awning! I plan on adding one as well down the road. I feel that it's a simple add on but adds a lot of benefits.

I did a lot work on the beast this weekend. The headlights came in so I installed them and wired up the Halo and LED functions. Wow what a change! The Bull Bar also came in. That was a pain in the behind to install. 18 year old bolts don't come out easy. I also plastic dipped the bull bar. Here are the latest pics.

I love the look you turned it into and the purposed built.....

Personally, I would get a little thicker sidewall tires, like 60 or 65 series. Thanks for sharing.
