I wanted a Hummer from Afghanistan after we were involved in a rather bad accident. I totally refused to drive.
So my man went out and bought me one: an LX470, !998 gold with tan interior 184,000 km's on the clock. This was ages ago and I still love it to bits.
My man has his love, his 1991 Land Cruiser with LSD which he uses to chase gold everywhere Outback!

Hello Guys,
I'm new here and I just purchased a 2013 Lexus GS with luxury package. I have had it a week. It's really a great car. I was disappointed it doesn't have power folding mirrors
While I'm here does anyone have any recommendations for LED turn signals bulbs (front and back)?
I also want to update the headlight and fog lights to something brighter. Any suggestions?
I will post pics later.

My wife's 2008 Odyssey Touring was going strong at 200k, but in February a DUI unlicensed teenager decided it was time for us to look for another car.
The kid was traveling the wrong way(!) on a two lane divided highway, and hit my wife head on as she pulled out of a parking lot. Anyway, my wife's wrist has finally healed to the point she can drive, and we just bought a 2019 RX350L.
It's caviar on black, with Premium, Nav, 20" wheels, Blind spot, heated seats, heated steering wheel, touch free rear door. It's a beautiful car.
We looked hard at a Volvo XC 90 and the BMW X5. I like the GMC Acadia Denali (she didn't), and we both thought the MDX was (just) ok. I disliked the Infiniti QX 60, she thought it was so-so.
The Lexus is getting Xpel'd (front only) this week, and I'm shopping around for a Thule roof rack that will work with the various accessories I've accumulated over the years. We'll buy a winter wheel/tire package from Tirerack - and get the TPMS programmer. I'd like to get a 2" trailer hitch for a bike rack, but I'm not sure about the trimming and cutting of various underbody pieces to get it to fit around the spare.
Thanks in advance for everyone's collective experience and recommendations.

2001 RX300 -
I have had many cars in the past and often there is a feature that turns on all the inside lights on at the same time with a click of one button, or a turn of one ****. can the lights on the doors, the dome, the sunroof etc can all be turned on at the same time?
Does anyone know if this is something that can be done on this model?

Got on clublexus back when I had my IS300. I've had this LX450 for almost 2 years now. Going to be more active as I just acquired a LS430. 1996 LX450 no lockers but haven't needed them yet. Cheers!

New to this place
Howdy, I've been a long time lurker on these forums, first time poster. I have a '03 LX with roughly 290k miles on it, and I love it. I have made some minor mods over the years both to keep it running reliably (like new idler pulley, belt tensioner, power steering hose/pump, and other routine quarter-million mile maintenance) and some just to keep with the times, like the BT45-TOY bluetooth adapter. The chrome OEM wheels were recently replaced with some made in America KMC's due to excessive chrome peel and corrosion from salty MN roads (Thank Jesus I got to move back to TX). The main point is that I will do whatever it takes (within reason) to keep this beast running reliably for many years to come.
Just last week I noticed a new noise coming from under the hood, uh oh. It sounds like a knocking noise at rate of about 350 bpm, like a wood pecker, not quite machine gun status, too slow to be rod knock i think... but I have no idea. It only occurs when I put it in gear - reverse or drive. It stops when I put it in park. It's also not very loud, I can barely hear it with the windows closed and need to roll the windows down to get a good listen. I can also feel a little vibration in the car in concert with the noise, so maybe a loose mount? I hesitate to drive it anywhere without knowing if driving it will do more damage or not, so I haven't taken it to a shop yet. I figured I'd first try to diagnose it myself and with a little help from the internet. Has anybody experienced this? Any guesses to what could be causing it or if it is safe to drive to the dealership? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for welcoming me to this nice community.
