Rob,
that part doesn't look correct for a 2006. I believe the correct part number is 77740-60450 and it runs about $666.

Hello AZ1Smith,
have you experienced the stalling/no start condition again since the heat last summer? I have not had any trouble with mine, but it has not seen the temperatures yet to induce the problem. I was reading another forum this morning and came across the thread below and thought it may be worth a read for you.

One thing I did not notice on my when the issue occurs is whether the security light continues to blink or not. I will certainly be on the lookout for that condition the next time I experience the not starting condition.

The symptoms described above are very similar to that which I have read and experienced on MBenz. I was driving at about 85m/h when my car stalled. After research, it turned out to be a crankshaft position sensor (knock sensor). These fail in many cars in high temperatures and require a certain time for the engine to cool down before restart. I later became an expert in changing these on my e320/350. The parts cost under $60 for the cars I mentioned. BTW, I am here researching common probs on Lexus LXs and Land cruisers as I am interested in buying one for my wife.

AZ1Smith, did you ever find your problem? My 2001 LX is doing something very similar and it has my Toyota dealership and me stumped.

An independent mechanic I talked to said it could be vapor lock caused by using "non" name brand gasoline. Since then I've been using Chevron and it did not stall again, until today. Any ideas?
Mechanic is not even close to correct.

It does not. Most you might see in the overheating category is the AT overheat light.

If you're not bothered by a non-Toyota part, you can use a $60 Delco canister. It's a simple switch given the price difference. Info here... https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/cha...#post-11180471

Describe stalled? Does it restart easily? Do you have to tow it?
Winter blend gasoline used in hot summer can cause a vapor lock. Sounds like a fuel starvation due to vapor lock.

How so if OP is seeing 40+ psi fuel pressure?
