Denso or Bosch Oxygen Sensor
 

I am looking to replace oxygen front pre-cat.
I got different quotes for the sensors
1) Lexus dealer 196 per unit
2) Denso 234-4169 from oxygensensors.com about 60$ each
3) Bosch , cant remembet part number. but peps boys are selling it at 99$ each.
which one I should buy. Is Denso or Bosch O2 sensor OEM. I couldnt find this piece of information on their website.

The check engine light code is P0155 (Bank 2 sensor 1), I was told that I should replace the other one too given the O2 sensors are due for replacement. What do you suggest, replacing the one which is not working or both front sensors

I went with the Denso oxygen sensor. If I remember correctly I paid about $100 each for them. Also replace both sides at the same time.

I just replaced the bank 1 sensor 2 o2 senson and went with bosche. Paid 96 for it and another 65 to have it changed. I only replaced one cause i figured hopefully it wont break

I also wanted to go with denso and to my knowledge it cost around 100, but these are going for 60$ now. Not sure why. may be it is not the same
The reason I posted the prices were because tof the price differences which are significant
The dealership is about twice the bosch and three times that of denso which is causing me problem choosing which one to go for

My uncle just replaced the oxygen sensor in his '98 GX450 and turned to our family's resident Lexus aficionado (me :p) for replacement recommendations. I'm a firm believer in sticking with OEM components, particularly when it comes to pivotal parts such as the o2 sensors so I advised that he replace them with the OEM o2 sensor. I believe that he ordered it from lexuspartsnow.com and paid about $112.

On a related note, are the DENSO o2 sensors OEM? (the OEM part # is 89465-69085)

Denso is OEM. OEM is Denso.

I know this thread is old, but I just wanted to reconfirm with everyone. STICK WITH DENSO. I originally put two Bosch 02 sensors (one upstream, one downstream) in replacement of the Denso's in my 1997 Lexus ES300. Originally I had a code for the downstream 02 sensor, and I was in a rush to get one. O'Reillys did not have the Denso one available at that time. Previous owner put one new Denso upstream in recently, so I said screw it I'm going to replace the others . I had one Denso, and two Bosch 02 sensors in the vehicle. I noticed over time, that acceleration was decreased, and it was running sort of rough as like it was misfiring (all spark plugs, ignition coils, and spark plug wires were professionally done). Turns out that the Bosch 02 sensors almost trick the computer into thinking their working, when there really not. I returned the Bosch sensors, and replaced with Denso. All 3 sensors are now Denso. Rough idle/acceleration is gone. Cruising speed is smooth, way smoother than Bosch sensors. Car feels much better in terms of acceleration and consistency on the highways. Some things are okay to go with aftermarket ( blower motor for heat), some things clearly should stick with OEM (PCV Valve, 02 sensors)
