Default personalized settings?

Im still not sure on what options i have to pick from...i bought my 07 CPO from 1 local owner(in his 60's) im sure we have different tastes except for that of good cars!

Can I set up an appointment at service/ dealer? Is there a cost to choosing the settings?

**sales guy said nothing about this, but i keep seeing this term personalized settings**

From what my sales advisor explained to me, Personalized Settings is a list of settings that you can customize for the car with, such as door unlock sequences, etc. See this for more specifics http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/LS_LPS.pdf

From what I was told, each Lexus gets this done once, free of charge. It involves using the TechStream computer I think to make changes to the car's computer settings. At the dealer I purchased from, every subsequent change afterwards costs 1.5 hours labor.

I was able to get another dealer in town to do the settings for me as a courtesy. So you might be able to find a nice service department somewhere to do it, assuming there are things on that list you want to change.

just have dealer do it..they can do it for free..insist they do it for free!! I had my daylight running lights turned off, put my auto headlight on setting to 1 instead of 3, and disabled the seat belt chime linked to speed..I wear my seatbelt, but there are times I am in a parking lot just going slow and that thing is so loud..NO MORE of that bafoonery

Don't forget my "book reading fee"

Here's a link to the pdf file if you want a better look: http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do.../sec_06-02.pdf

Great info. I didn't even know I could take it in for this type of service. Is it free at any Lexus dealer as long as it is my first time? Or does it have to be the Lexus dealer that I purchased it from?
