Default Fuel Guage Problems.... Help!!

Hello,
I have a 1993 LS400 and just recently replaced 2 capacitors on the guage cluster( C212 & C214). I was having the "wont light up until its warmed up" problem. I read through this forum to find the information about those capacitors - very helpful. After installing the cluster, everything lit back up like it should have, only now the fuel guage will not work. It was only working intermittently while I was having the problem with the guage cluster lighting, and would not go all the way up to full. When I removed capacitor C214, the contact point on the PC board got stripped away, but there was still some metal there for soldering onto.
Is there another capacitor that I missed that needs to be replaced? Before the guage cluster lighting issue, the fuel guage worked fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much,
Ron

page 6 has alot of good info, and to fix the fuel gauge problem u need to change the capacitor on the main board labeled "C142" and i'm still trying to find out which capacitor is for the fuel gauge. changed C201, C205, and changed the C212 and my lights work, its just the fuel gauge and engine temp gauge isnt working.
my post from above. that time i didnt change the 142 yet and my engine temp gauge was just slow because it was the engine warming up.

To the thread starter or anyone who has had a fuel gauge problem, i just bought a 94 ls400 and the fuel gauge has issues, i haven't checked the sender yet but the gauge acts funny. sometimes it reads empty, sometimes it moves and sometimes it doesn't.

I haven't burned too much gas because its not registered yet and i know the tanks is pretty full. Does this sound like the capacitor problem?

The only problem is the fuel gauge, nothing with lighting or any other gauge, just the fuel gauge.

Just trying to size up what i have to look forward to.

Are the any other problems besides the capacitors in the cluster?

Thanks

Where do you guys source these capacitors. radio shack doesn't have them and any place online wants like 15 dollars for shipping and handling, anywhere i can get these things locally?

looking for the c142 4.7uf 25V cap.
