Updated to carplay last week. I noticed that Siri is not working while the car is in motion. Anybody has the same issue?

Siri works fine for me. Phone is sitting in the cup holder so I just call out “Hey Siri”. Are you in the CarPlay menu when you try to use Siri?

My bad. The phone was in the middle compartment with the lid closed and Siri didn't hear me.

I started this thread in July 2018.
I found it unacceptable that a $20,000 Honda or Hyundai had Carplay, but the new ultra-luxury high tech LS500 did not.
I am very pleased to let you know that my dealer in Dallas installed Apple CarPlay today in my LS500. Now its complete!

It is a huge upgrade compared to Lexus Enform.

I called my dealer and they dont offer the update in my country, if i use the above installation method will it work? My model is

Hi Ziad,

If you successfully installed the update from the given link, please share your thoughts how it went with you. I read somewhere that this update has region lock which will be installed only in the US, however, if you tried and it worked well, i will install it on my LS500

Hello, No i did not install it, after reading the installation guide it specifies it only work on US models, i am afraid if i installed it the system will malfunction and wont work again

So, I have a 2018 IS300 - any news on this model getting the upgrade? My wife has a 2019 Acura RDX which came with CARPLAY standard and my Mom has 2019 NX which she is getting upgraded soon. If it's not does anyone know of a good retrofit solution?
