2020 ls - anyone know if it will have a v8 option?
 

Just curious has anyone heard about a V8 coming back to the LS in 2020.

I wouldn't bank on it unless they unveil a TTV8 LS-F

I'd put the likelihood at something like 0.01%.

Supercharged V4 is more likely :D

V8s are gonna be rare like V12s are today.

I banked on that and it never came so I have low hopes Lexus will come out with a TTV8, although its def what they need Lexus may be done with V8's for the most part.

Just my take but the LS is such a low volume seller, wouldn't make sense to install a new powertrain on a vehicle (unless they had a new V8 for the rest of Toyota's vehicles that could share this powertrain)...

My gut feel says no..

i know it was inevitable at some point the LS would loose the v8. dont get me wrong, the TTv6 is great and everything, but its just not the same w/o the V8. very sad day for me when i found out the 500 didnt have one. call me old school, just my opinion.

The new a8 only comes in a 6 cylinder and it only makes like 335hp. I think the v8 will only be in the s8 .

True UNLESS Lexus/Toyota decides to use the V8 with the all-new Land Cruiser and LX replacement, that would make sense for me.
