LS Recall: Runflats improperly mounted

Runflat recall

I wonder if I can get the dealership to install regular tires instead of the runflats.

i doubt it, just like a tire store they will claim its a safety issue. What people do instead at Discount Tire is just bring the wheels to do a tire change then put them back on at the house. Discount cant say anything if its just wheels.

Yes, just received call from dealer about the run flat tires that could or may not affect individual LS Autos. So all LS auto being recalled over the next 30 days. I too would love the regular tires and not run flat.

I checked my car's VIN# and nothing came up. They are recalling about 6,300 2018 LS500s with tires from one manufacturer, so don't know if it's all 2018 LS500s or not. I have Bridgestone tires on my car.

Mine came up and I have the same tires. My LS was built on 03/18. I'm not using my stock tires so it'll be a huge hassle to have them swapped.

My car was built 8/18 - so maybe they had fixed the issue by that point in time.

I literally left an email for my service adviser, hopefully he says yes cause then I will switch to Michelin, non runflats.

I mean you could just mount them back on and go in or see if your dealership will do it while they are off, worth a try if you good with your dealership.

I just signed up to get a 2018 F-sport and waiting for them to swap the tires...its bridgestone swapping them for some new version of bridgestone...its been almost 2 weeks, still waiting for them to get it ready. Also they said they are swapping the TPMS sensors, i think thats what its called...

So tire sensors included in this recall or just cause your getting different tires.
