CarPlay on 2018 Vehicles
 

Not sure if anyone saw this but, I guess I'll cross my fingers in the hopes this may work for 2018 vehicles.

"Lexus remains committed to enhancing our in-vehicle multimedia guest experience. We are currently conducting an internal trial for Apple CarPlay compatibility in some 2018 LC, 2018 LS, 2018/19 NX, 2018 RC, 2018/19 RC F, and 2019 ES (non-navigation). At this time, we do not have any additional information we can share but anticipate providing further details to applicable guests in Summer 2019." :D:woot:

Yes. My dealer sent me the same email that should be for 2018 LS vehicles for summer 2019. I assume it will be the same for Android if agreement can be arranged with vendor and the hardware and software updates. They are also working for us to have Alexa in the Enform since we have the new 2.0 Enform later in spring 2019.

I'm definitely ecstatic, can't wait now for summer.

I just want to confirm, all 2018 LS have the enform 2.0? So they might get the apple car play update ?

They already have Enform 2.0. However Carplay isn't an option as of today. It might be in the future.

Yes. They are aware of a third party software and hardware approach to update 2018 LS with the 2.0 Enform. Almost a deal by mid-summer I am told by Dealer. They are also hoping to add Alexa to the 2018 LS soon.

Figures it's not available for my 18 GS.:(
