From Audi S8 to F-Sport, A Quick Review and Intro
Hello good folks!
Last week I traded in my 3.5 year old S8 for my second Lexus ever.
In a nut shell, this car is awesome. The S8 blows the LS out of the water in nimble handling and power, absolutely. But the LS wins hands over fist in comfort and tech. Not to mention, expected reliability.
My S8 gave me a healthy scare at 2 months from the end of factory warranty and I could not stomach the scare of keeping the car any longer. I could’ve been stuck with a $30k and up, repair bill.
When I was reading all the reviews of the LS I had to take a test drive, post haste, as all the reviewers were lambasting the infotainment center. Well one test drive and I was hooked. The interface is fantastically detailed and I love all the options afforded to me. As the salespeople at Lexus said, if you have trouble with your iPhone, then you will likely have trouble with the system.
The seats are great and yhe HUD is light years ahead of Audi. Lexus did a tremendous job on it. All the detail and color is fantastic. It really feels like a special car to drive.
Although it is no slouch, it just doesn’t feel “quick” like my old S8. However, that was to be expected.
My car had 2 small detail problems that are being addressed by the dealer: a ratting center arm rest and a misaligned lower body panel. It also had a small scratch on the “F-sport” clear application sticker on the trunk and I am putting a clear brah on the entire front as well.
I am excited to own my first Lexus flagship and look forward to the journey!
