this is why never underestimate toyota and when things are rough and tough like the gs350 feeling aged, designed poorly they come back stronger, faster , more refined
proud of you lexus now to drive one, and look forward to see if i can land a base ls500 in january for 800 month

I don't like what this first drive review has to say about the stop and go cruise or the keep lane assist. This basically says that it leaves a lot to be desired and that the Cadillac CT6 is much better.

I feel this is going to be a great car, maybe not quite as powerful as some of the German higher trims but I wouldn't hesitate to own one once it goes past warranty, unlike the German makes. The one place Lexus is failing is in their wheel designed, both those for the LC and now the LS are just terrible for the sporty models. The F-Sport could use more rubber and the body style lends itself to a more aggressive wheel design/size. Of course, nothing that our aftermarket friends can't rectify. Fingers crossed we eventually do see a true LC-F and LS-F with the rumored 4L Turbo V8.

From the third paragraph it was a negative tone. The reviewer thought this LS was trying to be like the S63 or M760 He said they were followers and didn't stand out anymore. From there I think the review was another typical anti-Lexus article with some few nice points thrown in just to cover this bias.

Literally and figuratively; the next GS (if it surfaces) will ride on a modified version of the GA-L platform that underpins the LS and LC.

Most of the reviews I've read are positive; many praise the driving dynamics (which is a first for the LS) the quietness, the power. It's not an S63; but it's also not as expensive. I really hope the LS-F materializes as the top tier car; it would make a bold statement that Lexus is changing direction.

That being said; while I'm very curious to drive it at this point I'm not sure I'm adding it to my list. This whole segment is shrinking as people gravitate towards SUVs; and while I'm sure it's a nice car I'm wondering how much of an upgrade I'll think it is over my current car. The lack of headroom is concerning; particularly being that it's less than teh 4LS and I find that car short on headroom for me. But I'll reserve judgement until I can actually sit in one.

I keep finding myself browsing the LX listings on cars.com. I hope Lexus builds a large crossover; with Bentley and Rolls Royce jumping into the fray (and their expertise in trucks) they'd be foolish not to.
