Default Lack of New, Innovative Tech

Kinda wish the upcoming LS would debut some new, innovative tech like semi-autonomous driving. Besides some new safety stuff, there isn't really anything big. Look at how much new tech they are rolling out on the upcoming new Audi A8, refreshed BMW 7-Series, and upcoming refreshed Mercedes S-class. The Lexus LS use to be on the forefront of tech, such as the self-parking feature and driver attention monitor, which both unfortunately died off.

Other features I wished Lexus included was wireless integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and new MMI controls.

What features do you guys wish Lexus included for the new LS?

Totally agree with you. Lexus made the first Luxury Hybrid and the others followed, not to mention self-parking feature and driver attention monitor. The 4th gen body was also copied by BMW IHMO. The lack of Android Auto/Apple Car Play is just dumb. Lexus quality and after sales support from the factory is not what is used to be too. I hope Lexus is not resting on it's laurels and acting like they have Mercedes and BMW clout or they will fall behind.

LS does have semi-autonomous driving: https://lexusenthusiast.com/2017/07/...demonstration/

It uses the industry-first 24" HUD to notify drivers of incoming cars and people on the road etc.

Agree - after this long a wait, I expected much more

Waiting for noise, ride, handling comparison w/ the current leader: s550
If no better, I'm going to take my chances on a used S550
We have seen the pics, and inside and outside, the s550 is much more to my taste

Hard to beat the S550, especially the refresh which really looks great. Going to come down to cost, if the cost is similar, I too would likely get the S Class.

I wouldn't choose a used S Class over a new LS though. Just not a used car person.
