Default BG products

Everyone, I have a 08 LS460 that was having some hesitation when getting into the gas pedal. I have 130k on the clock and purchased the car with 115k. I have been replacing things that need to be replaced due to age or mileage . I decided to run a can of BG 44K and BG MOA with this last oil change using Toyota 0w-20 and she is running like never before. This LS will snap your neck back when getting into the pedal. I can’t say enough about how much better my baby runs using BG products. Just wanted to share with the community.

things I have replaced in the last 15k miles:
mass air flow sensors
rear differential fluid
all 4 oxygen sensors
front breaks and rotors
upper and lower control arms
spark plugs
engine and cabin air filter
brake fluid
trans fluid
lug nuts
air intake cleaner inlet

All of these things didn’t improve performance as much as a can of BG MOA and 44K. Everyone knows a mechanic in a can doesn’t exist, but this stuff really works great.

I used Lukas products and it seemed to work, however I did not have a neck snapping experience after fuel system treatment. Replacing working MAFs and oxygen sensors is just a waste. Please, tell me you used OEM parts.

of coarse I used OEM sensors. Are you aware heated oxygen sensors have a lifespan? I know the MAF sensors was just knee jerk replacement.

Yeah but they work fine until they throw a out of spec condition....aka they code an error or show irregular behavior on a scope/live data

That is a terrible logic! Don't forget to replace catalytic converters because they wear off too.

How much is a can of that?

I noticed that any bottle/can of fuel system cleaner gives better pep/mpg for a tank.

You know when I come to think of it the O2 sensors on my 430 have 265k miles on them and the Jeep has 315k and somehow they are all original with good waveforms.....

Well, I suggest you change your front fenders every 100,000 miles because they change wind resistance with age.

it’s about $25.00 a can and treats 20 gallons of fuel. It says to add to an empty tank and add up to 20 gallons of fuel.

when I started this thread I wanted to share my experience with a fuel cleaner and oil additive that improved my engine performance with the members. I never imagined the level of hate and stupid comments I would receive. “Change your fenders” what a stupid comment.

Here’s something that will make you blow your top… I am replacing the sunroof glass because the seal is not perfect… and it doesn’t even leak 🤯… Guess I’ll need to order my front fenders soon…

To the members of Club Lexus. I wanted to share my experiences with a product that greatly improved my engine performance. I didn’t expect the responses about the oxygen sensors…I chose to replace…because I can. I have the money, time, and ability. I am completely aware that O2 sensor replacement is only required when the waveforms are out of spec, or the heaters go bad. Since the vehicle was having a slight hesitation problem I decided (not required) to replace the O2 sensors. Nowhere in this thread did I recommend to the members to replace their O2 sensors. With a well maintained engine the sensors may last the life of the engine. I recommended for the members to try BG fuel injector cleaner and oil additive because I had great results with it. Was I required to replace my engine air filter; it still flowed the proper CFM of air through it even though it was a little dirty? “It’s not required” “the CFM rating is within spec” “my jeep has the original air filter” I replaced it because I wanted to keep my vehicle maintained and running top notch, like it is currently.

Just like you I failed to get prior approval, before using a fuel additive. I use Chevron Techron. I understand BG products are effective and are push at my dealer. I had my time in the barrel and now it is yours. Keep your chin up and ignore the a wholes.
