Default LS 460 2014 steam on windshield

I started my car and had steam come out on windshield. I quickly cleared up. I suspect heater core is leaking? Any idea of cost to repair? Thanks for your help.

Inside or outside? Do you smell coolant?

To help you identify coolant smell, raise hood and sniff the coolant reservoir next to the radiator or at least the underside of cap. It should be pink color fluid. This will allow your nose to compare any odor in the cabin/dash area. No coolant odor means you may be seeing plain condensed water becoming vaporized. It doesn't take much.

If it is steam from the inside , it could the servo motor malfunction and need to be rest using techstream or battery reset .

The steam was inside, not on outside of windshield. There is not any coolant smell. It was on lower 3” and went away quickly and went away quickly after heating system started working. It was about 49° out, and has not happened since. Im just concerned it is an indication of troubles to come. Thanks for your responses.

I've had this happen when water was getting into the car, as things warm up it evaporated and caused condensation. In humid climates this can happen as a matter of course. Also keep in mind clean glass makes it harder for water to stick.
