Default Are brake actuator issues resolved in 2013+?

I'm looking at some 2013+ LS460 and have been trying to do some searching on what issues they may have and the brake actuator issue popped up. I thought I heard that on 2013+ that the brake actuator issues had been resolved. Is that true? Has anyone heard of any 2013+ actually having issues and if so does it seem to be few and far between or just as common as the '07 - '12 models?

It still crops up on the newer models, but seems to be less frequent.

The brake actuator issue exists because people do not do maintenance when it needs to be done. If you let 2013+ run on old brake fluid, the actuator will go out the same way it does on the older model.

The reason 2013+ seems to have less issues with the actuator is because Lexus started recommending brake fluid.

While this may be generally true, Anfanger, I know of 2 late models (including one that was owned by a member here) where the actuator failed at less than 20,000 miles and 3 years of age.

Wow, I did not know that! Thank you for letting me know! I guess, the issue remains then.

In short - no. But.... Ugh if only I'm allowed to speak openly on this heavily NDE'd topic. All I can say - if yours goes out right now (xmas tree of lights, the usual) and you go to a decent dealer and push for replacement, there IS a chance you will get an.....ted unit. It will not look different AT ALL. But it will be AN ......nit. Wink wink. If you, however decide to use a parts catalog(epc/microcat) the part it will show you will not be an ......ed unit.

Do you know if the replacement part was the same part number or it superseded by a new part?

Toy won't tell you/show documents. It's a big snafu for the company (as e.g. with cam actuators), they don't want extra attention.

That is BS. I never had issues with local Toyota/Lexus dealers showing parts numbers and any involved paperwork.

Not in this case. There's an internal document being circulated, that forbids making client aware. I have this document. If I share it - I go to jail.

I have a right to know what is being done my property. I just do not believe you.

The superseded part number for the actuator is (LS460 07-17) - 44050-50110.

Same part. My 2017 LS460L was one of the last 460s made.
