Yeah my car sounds like that too

If you search around , on cold starts these engines sometimes make some very loud , abnormal noises

 

I'm hearing a kind of thumping noise I started mine up this morning in 39F and lifted the hood. It sounded smooth and fine. It raced just a little and then settled down to normal idle speed.

 

These cars are f-ing loud lol I can hear the engine with my window closed, so that’s not what I consider quiet, maybe some of my seals need changing

For some reason the noise is more apparent lately so thought I’d check, just in case. I’m taking a few steps into the engine in the coming month, I shall post another video after.

Btw what are these things and where are they supposed to go, I see the diagram I’m not getting it. Thanks

I could be mistaken but it looks like vibration damping system installed under the intake manifold.

 

Here’s a diagram I could be wrong but I don’t think my car has any of these 3 parts, I’ll have to take a closer look.

I also don’t think they come with the high pressure pump covers.
