Default Earthquake mirror

New here. Just bought a 2007 LS and I love it. There are a few issues and I am beginning to tackle them as a DIYer. Earthquake Mirror. The driver's side view mirror shakes and vibrates while driving at highway speeds and/or over rough roads. The mirror itself is not loose from it's backing plate. The housing is firmly affixed to the door(not a bolt set fix). There is significant play at the pivot point where the mirrors fold in and out(which works fine).I have watched videos and searched for diagrams and cannot find any for the LS. There is a video for the IS and pictures for the IS for this exact issue. They involve the tightening of a retaining clip over a thick spring over a shaft that the mirror pivots on. My question is whether the internals of the LS are the same as the internals of the IS mirrors. Would like to know before I start digging into it and replacement mirrors are costly. Thanks

Pretty common problem. If I remember right it's down to 3 bolts that mount the top house to the bottom piece. There is an update to the screws that adds a lock washer to the screws. Supposedly it works well. Do a quick search. I think there's a good explanation with pictures.

Yeah. You can order the correct screws from Lexus. It helped mine a lot. Still get a small shake but mainly if in a strong head wind.
