Have to REreplace one of my upper control arms, busted boot, but I need to order the CORRECT

one, I know it's the upper right hand side, but Im getting a little confused on fwd facing and rearward facing...

Left and right on a car are from the perspective of sitting in the driver's seat, facing the windshield. The spot marked on the attached photo is on the RIGHT side of the car.

🙄 🙄 I understand THAT part, what I'm TRYING to understand is the "rearward or fwd facing" part....
