Default Gold emblems?????

Whats the difference between the 2017 LS 460s with gold emblems? I stay on the hunt for late model LS460s for sale. For the first time, I've seen one with Gold "Lexus" and "LS460" emblems on the back. What's the difference? Why are they gold, and most of them are silver?

Thanks.

You can have the gold emblems, either as a dealer add-on (I'm sure there are dealers still doing this) or aftermarket. Some people like the gold look, but the rest of the car is no different from one with silver emblems.

Yes. In the 90's I had a LS400 done that way. Mobile guy came to the house and was some type of electroplating he did. Looked great back them when was very rare.
I would never do it now. Looks cheap to me now. But not as bad as hanging up fuzzy dice from the mirror.
