Default Tire pressure problem?

Not sure what is wrong. Have the yellow light and message said low tire pressure.

Everything was fine until I checked tire pressures and added a couple of pounds.
Then the next day it gave me the warning.
Checked the spare which was a little low. And the light went away.

Now a couple days later it is back.

Any suggestions. Really dont want to take it in for something so minor. And knowing my tire pressures really are ok.

Thanks for any help

Are all the tires at the same pressure or close. What pressures are they?

The one that shows 24 is the problem. I'm missing something because that would be too easy.

If the car is saying 24, and your other gauges are showing 33, perhaps the sensor is wearing out or needs to be re-paired to the car. The batteries will last 7 -10 years. However the one in my spare is original and still working after almost 13 years.

Well, what year is your car, that may tell us how old the TPMS sensors are and if getting pretty old the batteries may
be giving out and one may be giving you that reading of 24 when your hand gauge reads 33 or 34?

I have an 07 and replaced all five TPMS sensors a year ago, they finally gave up after serving 11 years

It’s your spare tire in the trunk. Fill it up, problem will go away.

Its what I was going to say. Check each tire pressure, Make sure they are in range. Make sure you check the one in the trunk. I normally put the trunk tire 10% higher than the others.

If the light is still on the dash, odds are one of the sensor battery died. Go to any Tire shop, they will check them one by one till they find the one, they will pull the tire off, change the sensor and re balance the tire.. This is normally about $45-60 each tire.

Strange but next time I drove the care everything is fine. Double checked all the tire pressures are good.
2011 with all original sensors and I guess batteries.
Had new tires installed last year. I should have thought about it and had them at least replace the batteries while the tires were off the rims.

Thanks all

I don't believe they replace the batteries in them, it's just a replacement part. It really would be nice to have a $3 fix, instead of a $50 one... mounting and balancing a tire is normally about $20-25 so this would be under $30 fix...
