LED's tried looking
D4S and D2S the same thing but it seems hard to find, Phillips makes some LEDs but they are all H model bulbs is there a way to retrofit something so I can use the H bulbs? I am really not keen on the xenons if I can help it. Why not pay a bit more and get something that uses less energy and last a long time.

Because Xenon lasts a long time, the energy used is irrelevant, and the projector is designed for the bulb (unlike the LED).
Buy a quality bulb and you should have no problem getting 8-10 years out of it. |
well i just ordered 2 osram CBIs for me low beams. Doesnt solvethe high beam DRL issue coz halogens are nonsense. So i emailed morimoto this is what they said.
Hey Jay, The LEDs in the high beam / DRL shared socket can sometimes have issues with DRLs that have a higher voltage than expected. Since some DRLs operate at more like 10V than half voltage (6V), the LED bulb won't show much of a difference from 10V to 12V like it would between 6V and 12V. Because of this, it's always best to check the voltage of your DRL with a voltmeter prior to ordering, as you may have a very bright DRL using a rather voltage-insensitive bulb like the 2Stroke, that can't vastly differentiate output levels based on a 2V input difference. Anyone can answer the question? |
