New help
I have a 2008 ls 460 l with the ML sounds system when I got the car the front door speakers where blown I went to Walmart and bought some and put them in work fine would the speaker mess up the amp or anything because I didn't put ML speakers in it
Replacement speakers should have the same impedance (resistance) so they present the same load to the amplifier. However, a speaker coil's impedance changes with frequency and can affect crossover frequency and hence sound quality.
If possible, I would see if a junkyard in your area has a car with the speakers you need.

if the Ohms on the new speakers are lower then the ones you took out, your stock ML amp may not be able to handle it. i would find out first if the stock ML amp can play and that resistance. if not, then the amp will over heat and shutdown.
Mambo 619 is right: if the speakers present a greater electrical resistance (or "load") (higher resistance/impedance/load = lower ohm reading) they can burn out the amp. But, more than that, these OEM systems are often designed with weird drivers (speakers) that are super light weight and have low impedance to use less power, and can be hard to replace with aftermarket drivers. If they sound fine and the nominal impedance is roughly the same, I'd keep 'em. If they don't sound good or the impedance is higher (lower ohm reading), I'd find better replacements. If your amp shuts down and it never did before that would definitely being a warning.
