I keep debating this one or the fold up into circle ones. It is less about cost and more about annoyance to the passengers. I had a cover craft like one in my BMW. Worked perfectly. But folded it was pretty big. In our Odyssey we have the pop up circle one and it works well. It goes int he pocket behind the passenger seat so it is never a problem.
Why can't Lexus just make a perfect solution for this stuff? People will pay for it!
Yeah, the Covercraft one doesn't fold down as small as a spring-loaded circular one, but it definitely fits better and is pretty thick/insulated, with soft material around the edges to protect your dash. I just toss mine in the back seat footwell when I'm not using it, and if I have passengers I stick it in the trunk.
As you can see you can actually order them in colors. Mine is a light blue to match my 15 LS' Nebula Grey paint, I'm using the same one for the 17 even though it clashes lol
The 20% off code doesn't apply to this item, it says. I'll have to look around for one, now that my car is back to being parked outside three days a week.

Really? That surprises me...
I used the 20% off coupon for a $200 set of Lloyd mats!
So I purchased a Weathertech front shade earlier this year. Yesterday I finally got around to taking it out of the bag and trying the fit. The finish is good but I feel the fit is off - it is too high by an inch or more so doesn’t push into the windshield at the top. I have the Weathertech for another car and the fit is spot on. I’ll give them a call and speak to them about this. Anyone using the custom fit weathertech for this car - do you like the fit?
I recently purchased a Covercraft windshield shade for my 2010 LS600hL (and one for my 2006 SC430), and have been very pleased with the quality, fit, and finish of the shade. I thought I'd post a photo of it here in case anyone else is looking for a really nice front windshield shade. I paid $47 for the shade (on sale from AutoAnything.com), which is pretty steep, but it really does fit well and seems very well constructed. It should last for many years. It's been in the 90s for a while here in Omaha, and the shade definitely keeps my car much cooler on hot sunny days.
I've been using the same Covercraft sunshade that I bought two years ago for our LS 430. Happens to fit the LS 460 too, although just a wee bit snug around the rearview mirror. I wish it folded down smaller for easier fit into the door pocket but I have no complaints about its performance and fit. By the way, very nice 600. The angle and light really brings out the metallic finish. It looks newly washed, polished, and waxed. Nice clear bra too.
