Default Another sticky door panel success story

So I went into the dealership to get an oil changed (provided own oil/filter), and asked about the sticky door panel/dash issue while I was there (I never got the letter some people have been getting since I am not the original owner). The service advisor said there was a new extended warranty out on the issue until 2021 I believe and I could leave my car for the tech to evaluate my panels/dash. Off I went in the loaner, get a call back in a couple days saying my car is ready and I did qualify for the extended warranty and I will be getting new door panels, glove compartment and dash. I was thrilled to say the least, now we wait!

Nice!

I did get the letter and brought it up to the dealer service tech at my last scheduled maintenance. She indicated it would have to be 'sticky' when it was submitted for repair. So now I'll wait a few months until it gets hot enough to fully demonstrate sticky!

Good for you man.

I'm surprised they would cover your 07 dash.

How you figure?

Just bring it in to any dealer. Make sure it is actually demonstrating sticky condition when you do!

Default Wait Time

The dealer has had my parts on order for about 60 days. As of today a single small piece has arrived. All I keep hearing is " be patient, others have been waiting much longer." .

What are others experiencing for parts lead times?

Mine went on order in November. In Feb they put the dashboard and door panels in. However the console and glove box are still on order. So far my wait has been 4 months

I would guess so. the more popular interior colours will have greater shortages.

Mine was also replaced last November. Wife went in for oil change and they informed her that they can order these free of charge. Initially, the dealership said door panels only but when she insisted on dash, they agreed All four door panels, dash, glove box and center console were replaced
Ours was beige interior and it took dealership about 7 days to get all the parts.

Anyone had the rear console replaced? What do they remove to get to it?

I have my GROM unit in the armrest, I am wondering if I'll need to remove it.
