I had SolarFX nano-ceramic 20% all around on both my LS460 and my CT6. Very satisfied. I can't imagine driving a car without tint on a daily basis.

i agree makes driving during the day more relaxed and the a/c definitely works less.

what are your thoughts on the windshield i assume you dont put 20% on windshield. And who makes solar FX seems like you know good stuff so it must be good

I've never done the windshield on a car. I drive quite a bit at night and I've always been concerned that and windshield tint could degrade my forward night vision. That said, I've never been in a car with it so I absolutely could be wrong about that.

As far as the SolarFX tint goes, it seems to have a pretty good reputation from what I've read online. Truth is, my choices of installers are VERY limited here and the shop I've used over the last several years is very good. It's more about trusting them than the tint really. It ran me $250 for the LS460 and the CT6 for ceramic. They also did the Avalon I had before I bought the CT6 too. I would think that the 3M stuff would be as good as you could get. It's just not available here locally.

Wife is an avid photographer and takes pictures through the windows a lot. No darkening

You can get really light (color) Crystalline, 70% or even 90% clear, which still kills a huge percentage of the IR rays and all UV. I'll be going down the path of probably 70% here, shortly, on the windscreen, with the rest of the car at 40%, or maybe even 20%, depending on what local law is.

<looks up both TX and CO>

Oh, looks like I'm going with 40%. I don't need to re-tint it, and I don't want to be hassled.
