What would your next car be?

That's the beauty of it. You choose. Take a look at the blog link I posted. They've shown sample screenshots of their warranty offers (keep in mind that a Mercedes warranty costs more than Toyota/Lexus).
It's usually sold in options of 5 years/75k on the ODO, 5 yrs/100k on the ODO, 5 yrs/125K on the ODO, and depending on the car, 5 yrs/150k on the ODO, but according the blog, the options presented depend on the mileage of the car at the time of sale.
Going back to the beauty of it, I've had my eye on a 2013 LS460 that has 68K miles (read: Lexus warranty already expired) sold at Carmax. They'll likely offer me several options, including (sake of example), 5 years/125K on the ODO. If that I take that, I now have this awesome warranty that covers me from when I drive off the lot to when the ODO hits 125K, AND the warranty is transferable if you sell the car. So I would buy that car, take that option, and once I got to 120K miles (or close to 5 years, whichever is first), and then sell it, probably back to Carmax, and then get another Carmax unicorn with maxcare.
Read through that blog. While the guy focuses on unicorns, we just bought my wife a 2014 ES that had 33k on the ODO and bought the 5 yrs/75K on the ODO maxcare (I did the $50 deductible option which is reduced to $0 if you bring it to carmax, wife doesn't put that many miles on it, we will probably hit 5 years before she gets to 75k on the odo). I could check the price I paid for the warranty if anyone is interested, it was under $2,000. And it's already come in handy, as it wasn't long before the check engine light came on, so it went back to Carmax, who actually took it to the Lexus dealership and had them fix it.
I know someone is going to say I'm a sucker for getting that maxcare on the 2014 ES, but from our POV, when we buy a car with 30 something thousand miles, we expect to still have original warranty left. In this case, because the original driver didn't put many miles on it over the years, the original warranty expired. So we got our own and a great one that people rave about. Additionally, we intend to sell before it expires, so we won't have any costly repairs should something unforeseen happen. My wife really loves all of this because not only does it give her piece of mind about buying a used car, but she also knows that in 4.5 yrs, she's getting a "new" car.

I suppose you change cars every 3-5 years.. I also bought my car from carmax in mid 2017. Did not take the carmax warranty since i am gambling on the reliability of lexus. Mileage was, i think 18k and now i heading in for 60k service. Now if i got a german car, you bet i will get the warranty!
My concerns were getting a car for about let say 50-60k, use it for 3-4 years since i rack up miles in midwest, and when time to resell back to carmax, i get ~10-15k. 40-45k spent in 3-4 years kinda rich for my blood...
Btw, not meaning to hijack the tread.. lemme shut up now!

Carmax wholesales a lot of cars through Manheim and OVE so I can see what their margins are. What I've found is that their cars are typically far more expensive than those from other dealers and definitely from private sellers. There are great third-party insurance companies (warranty) like CNA out there that can provide you the additional security if that's how you want to go. I'm just not that high on Carmax at all.

I can see why Lexus might not warrant maxcare generally, but I wish I got my 07 LS460 L from carmax with maxcare given issues with air suspension. That's why I'll probably get out of this car, this year, especially if I find a carmax unicorn.

It's all in how much you want to spend. There are several members here who have insurance "warranties" through third-party vendors and have had very satisfying results. For me, I don't see the logic in having to pay more for a car from CarMax just to purchase their warranty (which is also more expensive). If you wanted to do that. you should be paying more at a Lexus dealer and getting a CPO car. You do know that CarMax doesn't underwrite Maxcare right? It's third-party too.

Thats a Genesis model Hyundai, made before their break off as a separate brand. Not necessarily an example of what a modern Genesis would age like.

I should have looked into this, though, I do like the '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9L...it just needs some attention to, well, a lot of little things. That, and I drove a SHO...didn't quite do it for me, but it was close.
Nice to know there's a fellow probably class-A traveler here!
Off-topic, but what kind of rig?
