Default It arrived. I'm happy.

The new-to-me '12 L with the rear seat upgrade was delivered, yesterday.

Talk about a cheap-*** dealership...it ran out of gas after sitting in my driveway, idling about 45 seconds. I put 23 gallons in the tank.

It cleans up very nicely, love the color, and the parchment interior is much less tan/beige than I expected, which is quite welcome.

The radio tuning **** not working, per the Lexus report...that's not a problem. Works 100%.

The transporter, after I asked, was happy to let me roll around underneath while it was still on the trailer*, so I went over it with a powerful flashlight. It's in remarkably good condition, I spied zero damage, and zero repairs.

It's tighter, smoother, and remarkably, even quieter than my '08, though, to be fair, my '08 was one year older with 20K more miles on it, when I bought it, compared to this car.

DAT SEMI-ANILINE LEATHER! DAT ALCANTARA HEADLINER! DOSE RECLINING REAR SEATS!

Also, you're see the grand total of curb rash on all four wheels. It's amazing. Tires are 5K miles old, oil was just changed, and besides the ML amp having less bottom-end, or so it seems, I'm quite happy. No actuator groan/strange feel, the high beams are still halogen, but the HIDs have a 'lid' which moves, so it's a hybrid of light. The car has all the manuals, all the trunk pieces, even the first-aid kit.

Little things are missing...one under deck hook in the trunk for the net, and some other really minor stuff. The battery is OEM, based on it being branded Lexus, how low it was, and how sulfated it is. I can recover the sulfation bit, and it now has the proper level. Even the brake fluid looks fresh.

No front bumper holes for a license plate!!!! Texas requires one, however, yeah...that's not going to happen. We're eventually moving to a state with only rear plates, so I'm not ruining it.

* he said I was the only person who has asked to do that...then again, I've brought my creeper, stands, a floor jack, OBDII scanner, and flashlight to multiple used-car inspections. Never have had anyone refuse, though I think it takes them by surprise. Oh, and a roll of paper towels and some hand cleaner, just in case.

Need to clean it, first, and the weather here is on the verge of going bonkers. Next week. Tomorrow is my Monday.

Very nice! I would fix the road rash by getting those wheels chromed. It would look great with the dark blue.

Better than chromed, I'm going to polish them.

I didn't want to come back here in the first place, but between my wife's mother needing looking over, and the economy turning to utter garbage...

Nope, my happy self is going back to Colorado, where we were from 1998-2001. Miss that place...miss it a lot. Seasons are good. I like really dry air. Having lived at both 9K feet of elevation and Vegas, I'll take high elevation, any day!

You can always put more clothes on. I'll take 15F over 115F.

That is an amazing car! Congratulations! What a find!

Agree with you on the weather--I live in the foothills of Idaho and it beats the hot temperatures for sure. Colorado would be nice as long as a smaller town than Denver.

Very nice! So happy for you!

Yeah the aniline leather and the suede headliner make a big difference don't they?
