The one main reason why I would rather prefer either and in-dash or double din (PIONEER) specifically, it’s bc of the options that I gives you for the sub and stereo audio and then some. Yes you can replace it. I have had a Kenwood and Pioneer double DIN in mine with a Rockford Fosgate, and now JL Audio amp running the factory ML speakers. I just changed the Pioneer last night to the new Alpine iLX-F309, and I love it.
