When I got my '07, I was averaging 11.7 to 13.5 l/100km. Now I am averaging between 15 - 18 l/100km. That is quite a change. Worst I got was 22. Best I ever got was 10,2.
During the pre COVD19 era, and in predominantly congested city condition 15 mpg city. On very cold days, (I live in a suburb north of Detroit), 13-14 mpg city. Best I ever did on the highway was 19 mpg; usually about 18 mpg highway. Same 4.6 liter V-8 extremely/religiously well maintained to a fault. Never, ever a better mileage then that! That’s why it surprises me when I hear of all those awesome mileage numbers from others here. I simply don’t understand it!?!?!?
Lucky you, I say. Perhaps it is because it is a newer model........maybe, I don’t know. But I have never gotten anywhere near any of those numbers or averages! Very frustrating; what can I say/do?!?!?
Averaged 28 MPG in the LS the other day on the Highway. Can’t wait to take to Ohio to see what it will do.
From Charlotte to Columbia Sc about 90 mile drive
Be very careful in Ohio with your speed. Don’t get carried away. Speed traps everywhere. That’s how they make their revenue, especially now that taxation revenues are altogether diminished due to the COVD19. They are looking for an excuse to pull you over and fine/ticket you; don’t give them one.
That is not unusual. Higher speeds increase fuel consumption. Going from 70 mph to 90 mph will indeed drop your mileage. But oooh what a ride doing 90! I’m sure it was worth it.

Ohio is not bad compared to Virginia. In Virginia they all hide behind hills and come out of nowhere. In Ohio you can see them parked in the median all day
And you are absolutely right. They ambush you from coming our from behind trees and bushes just like in the northern part of Michigan’s lower peninsula as you are traveling on northbound I-75 and of course in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula which, once you are there, you are traveling through forrests. Surprise, here they are hiding behind a tree/large bush as you are coming around the bend at times. By the time you see them, it’s too late. Chaching, its money time.......
This may seem like a silly question, but how do you check your mpg on the LS460? My screen shows my cruisin range and the outside temp and I don’t know how to switch the mode.

If you keep pushing the mode button it will take you to it.

I just push the Disp button on the steering wheel to change the display.
