“i’m baaaaaaaack”!!!
I really missed my 2007 Lexus LS460L, because it turned out to be the best car I ever owned even with the tranny issues. Today I just traded my 2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.0t Ltd for a 2013 Lexus LS 460L. I’m seriously keeping this baby till it blows up or whatever problem it might have. I’ll just have it repaired instead of buying a newer cheaper quality car.
I bought a used 2007 Lexus with like 89,000 miles on it and the transmission started slipping really bad after like 4 months of ownership. So I called the Lexus dealership I bought it from and they was going to sell me a1 year warranty for like $6,000. I took the car to the Lexus dealership near me and they told me that I should purchase that warranty from that other Lexus dealership, because without it I would have to pay like $12,000 and I don’t believe that was including labor. The one year warranty would’ve covered everything, but instead I traded the car and had to swallow a ton of negative equity on a 2013 used Toyota Avalon hybrid, which I then traded that for a brand new fully loaded 2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.0t Ltd.
Did you ask for advice here? I'm sure you would have been told to get a used tranny and have a transmission shop or independent toy shop install it. A couple grand and you could have been set. The dealer was the worst place to be dealing with this.

No not really, but I will in the future though. That was one of my biggest mistakes not checking out this forum for some good advice. The 2013 feels almost exactly the same as my old 2007 LS, so I’m excited to have one of the best cars on the planet back home.
