Some states limit the doc fee dealers can charge, wish all did.

My dad got nailed from the dealership for $700 in extra fees after they negotiated on the final price, hit him with them during final signing, my dad was furious and was not going to get the car but they gave him a good deal, he needed the car, and they might have knocked a little off. I said he needs to tell them the final out the door price and say he is writing 1 check for that price before picks the car up and will leave if that price changes. It worked that time, the car came needing a pretty major claying/correction because it sat out so long so he would have been extra furious if they tried charging him some prep fee nonsense.

Used car dealerships are some of the worst. Over the months of looking I have had a few dealerships jack the price over $1000 over list or a number we came to by the time they added all the tack ons and that is not even counting sales tax, I had a dealerships by the time they tacked on all the extra fees and charges the price went up almost $2000 from what it is listed at/we somewhat agreed to and that is not even counting the state tax being added in. I was like how in the world do you go from listing a car for one price to it now going to cost me almost $2000 more and that is not even counting state sales tax, no wonder it just sits on the lot for so long and nobody buys it.
I'll be honest, 95% of my cars over the years have been smaller dealers (it takes me over a year to buy a car, as I look and shop for a good deal), never paid more than $50 but, even then I already got $500+ off the car, so I didn't worry about it. The car I have now I went to a benz dealership 2 states over. Never again, it was a complete joke.

I hear ya though. I know on my next car, if I call ahead, I will be asking that question.

Hold on now! This one appears to have the ultra rare Comfort Plus Package, with soft door closers, Rear reclining seats and most importantly LEATHER door armrests which don't fail like the rubber ones. You will probably never find another one with this package again so maybe the price is not too bad. Make sure EVERYTHING works

If you look closely you will see the stitching on the armrest. Also extra center console buttons to reset the rear reclining seats. Definitely Comfort Plus package

Hi guys, been watching the thread, very interesting. I ran afoul of the dreaded doc fee when I
bought a Eldorado from Virginia Beach BMW. Deal was done and then came the doc fee of 700.00
I screamed bloody murder about it and it was removed. Guess I was lucky.

The comfort package plus is interesting. My doors have the closure thing, I will have to check the armrests. I just got it last week.

yes, it indeed does have the comfort plus, which makes me want it. interior looks better in person. Car was involved in an accident as well according to the carfax. Its 11yo, i dont expect the
exterior to be perfect. i got them to 13500 on price but still with doc fee.

From your album pics, you have Comfort Plus. Welcome to the club! You won't have to worry about your door armrest melting or crumbling apart. Funny thing is that 99% 2010-2012 models have rubber armrests, even with comfort plus packages. There are more 2007-2009 (LS460 & LS460L) with leather armrests out there. Only the 2010-2012 LS600 has leather. Lexus got it right in 2013+ models

FYI for price comparison, in May 2017, I paid $16,000 straight up from a small dealership for my 2008 LS460 with Comfort Plus at 89K miles. It had all new 18 inch tires added at my request, 2 tpms replaced and new rear brakes. I haggled it down from $17,500. It needed a truck latch motor which I bought and put in myself for $300. They weren't going to do anything else for free.

Also get the 19 inch wheels for it. Completely transforms the look of the car and corners better without losing too much comfort. The challenge will be finding a set.

they were supposed to call me Monday and let me know if they were going to put rotors on it, but never did. I think they think they can get someone in there to buy it at their price.
problem is, i need an SUV, unless i buy a cheap beater to haul my dog and work stuff around in.

The insurance I just got today. Drove the car a bit and thought I died and went to heaven it is so smooth and fast. No accidents or tickets and hope that helps.

I was shooting a tv spot today on a dodge lot, and aside from a 2019 RAM, i would take the 2007 LS 460 over any new dodge, jeep or chrysler.
