Default Tire fill cap just spins

Amazingly, I have not been able to remove the tire fill cap from my 2008 LS460. Just wanted to do a simple tire pressure check... The cap looks like the standard metal chrome cap with lexus logo but just spins around in place without coming off the threads.
Is there some kinda tool that's needed to remove these things or some technique I am ignorant of?? Its always somethingggggg...

TIA.

Take a pair of pliers like channel locks and GENTLY grip the cap and turn it counter clock wise....... When installing a new cap dab a little WD40 on the tire stem threads so the new cap will come off easy. You can buy new caps at Walmart or any auto parts store.

TIP! Replace ALL four caps so they match.

If they have the Lexus logo they very well might be security caps that require a tool...

Thanks for the responses. The caps do have a Lexus logos on them. I was unable to find information IRT Lexus security caps or a tool needed to remove them. I discovered there is a plastic threaded lined interior that is the mechanical attachment to the Tire pressure warning sensor threads. The outside lexus "cap" freely spins without affecting the plastic interior. Thus, these might be security caps. Being a rational old school DIY guy, I managed to catch the plastic with a sharp edged tool and backed them off. Replaced with standard plastic $1.99 caps to avoid any corrosion nightmares that could occur in the future; and that ends the story. Now, I can swiftly remove said caps to check tire pressures without the assistance of a Lexus certified technician and associated wallet lightning..
Cheers,
Slick

Whenever I see those, I always revert to the "cheap" black plastic tire caps, never have issues with those and you don't have to deal with the issues of them seizing or stripping if put on (or taken off) incorrectly.
