Default OEM Exhaust pipe width size in inches for a 07 LS460 please.

Does anybody know the size of our oem exhaust pipes system, don't know if its 2.5, 2.75 or 3 inches, and if it's the same measurement throughout the exhaust. Thanks in advance

If you wouldn't mind stating what your objective is, maybe I could help. I'd have to look again, but I think it varies mid-body. In like a resonator area. And of course it would be different in the header / manifold area.

And, are you looking for I.D. or O.D.? (Inner diameter or outer diameter).

It should be O.D. just before mufflers, I am trying to place dual exhaust electric cutouts, don't know the diameter that I should buy, love the option that cutouts offer by making car silent and by touch of button making it LOUD, will get the best of BOTH worlds.

Redeemed07 - I hate to say it, but I think you will wind up with the WORST of both worlds. Sock me in the jaw if you want to, cause I could be wrong. For you, maybe cutouts would be AWESOME. Heck, I darn near went down that path myself. When I came to the realization that a) the LS for me is too quiet is stock form, and b) bypassing the mufflers totally would be too damn loud for an LS. In my opinion, it will be so loud, it would be inappropriate for an LS. Along with that will come drone. So, I would keep it closed and run it through the muffler, and it would be too quiet. That's why I say, it is the worst of both worlds.

Hence the development of the Exhaust Vents. Read some of the feedback on the Oliver Exhaust Mod that on the first or 2nd page. Commercial over. Either way, I want you to do what you want. I'll throw my calipers on there tonight and accurately measure the O.D.

Most 4 stroke engines are designed for a certain amount of back pressure

I got home last night and had to finish the oil & filter, and fuel filter change on my truck. That maintenance got rained out Wednesday night halfway through. Then I finished last night in light rain. When I got done, it let loose again. So I didn't crawl up under the LS because to get under it, I have to start out on the outside of the garage (in the rain). So, I put it off until tonight.

Not width, O.D. Sorry, I'm an OCD mechanical engineer. And yes, I will reply with that measurement.

Why can't you also jack up the car and measure that yourself since no one seems to be able to help you.
