What's the final word on towing anyways I've read some threads about the vehicle not being able to tow etc I was thinking of getting a off road recreational vehicle.... no idea whats the word for those things lol but only if I could tow it....

Well, I don't really like the current bike rack/cargo carrier I have. Loading it with bikes provides enough clearance (10.5") but it is too close for comfort backing out of the driveway. Furthermore, there is 1/8" play in the tongue and on bumps I can see it contacting the bumper. I think I'll get rid of this cargo carrier and replace it with a traditional hanging-type bike rack. I also don't like that I can't fold this cargo carrier up. It extends the 200" LS to 240", longer than a 2006 Tundra Double Cab. I had to disable the parking sensors as they kept detecting the bikes.

Picked up the Curt Class 2 hitch off Amazon today. Went with the one for a 2013 LS #121142 (350 lbs tongue/3,500 gross which exceeds the 2013 LS trailer capability which is somewhere between 2K to 3500 max). It come with the 2" Euro ball. I'm going to pull my Motorcycle trailer. I also included the Curt Wiring Harness #56182. I'm going to see for sure about fitment on my 2010. If it doesn't work then I have a $165 paperweight.
The old '08 and trailer shortly after adding some floor bracing, some weld nuts with Stainless Steel lifting eyes, and skinning it in aluminum diamond plate. Luckily My '10 LS 460 L matches the trailer - same color:

I searched all over when I was looking for hitch for my 2007 years back. Found it and purchased it from Amazon after reading one of the reviews saying it went on a 2007 perfectly.

Above is my car with the hitch installed, sorry don't have a better picture, but just to confirm it fits a 2007. Not sure if it was caused by me or the thickness of the hitch plate, but it created a gap between the bumper and rear panel (see area circle in red). Doesn't bother me now and just too lazy to remove the bumper to recheck. Also, I had to get longer M8 bolts (from HomeDepot) as the stock ones were not long enough to remount beam with hitch installed. I followed the installation instructions below.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Wow, I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before. I am seriously considering getting one of these. I have hardly been able to drive the LS since my son has been bringing his bike on our trips to the park. (No way I'm putting one of those old paint scratching bike racks on my beloved LS, but this approach would work).

my exact thoughts which was why I got these. They’re pretty hidden as well and def no paint scratch.
There is one caveat though is that it may leave you with a slight bumper gap where the bumper meets the quarter panel.
