2010 Lexus LS460 glass seal binding, drivers side door wind noise, video showing
OK,
So I have tried the 'triangle' and the bump fix, to no avial. After going over the process with a fine tooth comb, i am finding the seal on the exterior of the window when rolling up is binding and folding over when it gets to the last few inches of travel. I believe this is the source of the wind noise. Is there a means of adjusting how the window tracks upwards? Im suspecting that when it gets to the top of the window, the glass is rotating towards the front of the car allowing the seal to bind inwards. Has anyone else experienced this? I looked at the other three doors, no problems with the binding.
See attached video.
Thx

I guarantee thats whats causing your wind noise.
My guess is what you will need to do is replace that channel/weatherstrip.

After a bit more searching on the forum, tried the silicon tip from here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...windows-2.html
luckily, im a scuba diver and underwater photographer, so have tons of silicon laying around. i first cleaned the rubber track and then applied the silicon liberally with two q-tips together. after a few ups and downs, the folding over has stopped. i think eventually, will want to replace the seal assy: Lexus Part No.: 68151-50020. going to mess with it a bit more before putting the door back together, investigate why the window does the hooking motion on the last part of the closing.
