Default Swapping parts

Does anyone know have any knowledge of the 08 LS systems enough to know that if you could switch the lower control unit on a non Mark !Levison nav equipped 08 460 to the mark levison lower unit and be able to watch dvds on the upper screen?

is the controller in the lower unit itself?

Anyone? Am I the only brave guy?

i think I can bypass the movement lock and found a blue tooth box for music just would like to play music dvds while moving.

also should my factory non Mark Levinson nav system play dvd’s In stopped mode?

Are you talking about the Heat/AC controls? If you are than i think so.

Just not sure if the wiring is the same behind it for the NAV or radio unit. If you attempt this make sure and document your work.

Pretty sure the ML system is a lot more than just a head unit swap. There is some communication between the various parts, the amp etc that probably needs to be there in order for the head unit to function.
