Default Thanks to this Forum

I got my 2008 LS460L after a two month search, The only place I found the one I had to have was in Las Vegas. I was reluctant to get it because I couldn't get to it to check it out. This Forum gave me the boot in the *** to go ahead and get on board and get the process started. Shad034, (Darrin) went out and drove it and reported back that it was a great car for being 10 years old. All the other guys on here chimed in with tips and info that made me go for it. A Big Shout out to Shad034 for hooking me up and, to this Forum for all the help. You guys rock. Thanks !!!

I was gonna post some pictures after I cleaned it up but, It's gotta be painted (The Lower Rocker panel) on the 5th so I'll wait till then. I gotta be honest, I'll probably lose some friends on here after I post the pics and they see how good it looks.

Bring it! Detailed silver will never look as good as a detailed black car. When you are done it will look the same
btw very easy to maintain with a garage.

This is true, but what is also true is a dirty black car will never look as good as a dirty silver car

Love the black, but too much work for me.

Touche!

Yeah, I did FAR less detailing on my Millennium Silver, GS300, GS430 & LS430.

That's a great looking black LS... Having owned silver- I tend to agree with you a bit...but silver is easy to keep looking "good" with very little effort and has always been attractive to me for that reason. My current LS is Smokey Granite so I have a bit more work, but when it's freshly cleaned it looks awesome.

Congrats and I wish you good luck with your new car!

I think I know who owned that car. He drove to Vegas in a $80,000 car and left on a $900,000 bus!

When I clean up the Mercury Metallic Silver car, it stays clean for a month or so. That's because I'm good at that kind of thing. I think the guys with Black Cars are probably just LAZY because everytime I see one, it's dirty.
And now, The rocks start flying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the same reason I went with silver among a few others. I've owned and maintained a black 400 for YEARS and it wad a challenge. Now I'm dealing with the black GS so I choose the easy way out .
