I knew there was something functional about that height high button. I am notorious for pulling in too far when parking and scraping the bottom front. Definitely don't want to do this in whatever new car I finally purchase! Thought the parking sensors would help with this too, but nice to have this nugget of insight if I do end up purchasing the car I'm considering with air.

Hi Michele, it's great to see that you are pretty close to buying your dream car with air and AWD! I use the Height High setting while parking in most situations, since I always try to find an isolated spot next to the curb. Just remember that it can take up to 30 seconds for the car to reach the High setting, so activate it while you are searching for the best spot.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, pretty excited about this one. Gonna try to arrange for a PPI. I think it's the smart thing to do even though, I don't anticipate anything turning up that wasn't checked out at the Lexus inspection. But you just never know so it's best to cover my bases. Is it weird that it went for photography on Tue and pics still are not up on their website? I've only seen a few pics that my sales rep texted me. Not that I'm that anxious to have the pics open to the public. I don't want outside interest generated, although I do have first right of refusal with my deposit.

My 400 and 430 had air, and there were many years separating my ownership of them and my first LS460, having had two LS460s one with coils and one with air, the differences really stand out.

So as one of the ones who denigrated the air suspension, I was wrong.
So at first, you mentioned that it was hard to tell the difference with the air. Was it the new tires that made the difference?

I believe so, I think the original tires were making the ride harder. The difference is subtle, but I can definitely tell the difference.

Get out on a twisty mountain 2 lane - drive 90mph - big difference.
So yes - comfort vs sport+ noticeable (when warranted)
Air vs coil - bif difference

Read about the F-sport sway bars... I wonder.... did they make a sport version iin the 08 ? how to find out if those are beefier or worth upgrading to? I once saw some TOM sport japan spec bars that you install in the engine bay... wonder how that affects the handling...
